The ten prints are rubbings of carbon sediments inside the Tunnel des Tuileries in Paris, which is 861m long and in use since 1967. The tunnel is tiled all around with small tiles. These tiles have become almost completely invisible through the layers of carbon deposited over the tiles. The sediments are irregular and carbon_imprints documents the first five meters of these irregularities.
